 LOCHGOILHEAD TRADITIONAL FIDDLE WORKSHOP at STRACHUR

Fiddle playing is taught traditionally, by ear; music provided but reading is not essential.
Adult (16+) classes based in Strachur, occasional other events around Cowal / mid-Argyll.
Tutors are well qualified and experienced in Scots fiddle playing techniques.
All abilities catered for – total beginners to advanced; come along and try it!

Lochgoilhead Fiddle Workshop, founded in November 2002, invites you to join us in celebrating our 10th Anniversary.

Adult Traditional Fiddle Workshop will take place in Strachur Memorial Hall on Saturday 2nd June 2012, 10am - 4pm. Cost £30.00 includes BBQ. Junior Workshop in Strachur Primary School, 1pm - 3.15pm. Cost £10, includes BBQ. Tutors include Amy Geddes, performer, composer and first LFW tutor; Mike Vass of the Paul McKenna Band and present tutor of LFW; Fiona Dalgetty, Chief Executive of Feis Rois and former LFW tutor and Rona Wilkie, Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2012.

The Adult workshop suits all levels, apart from very beginners. Depending on demand, there may also be a mixed instrument class.

The Junior workshop is suitable for children with at least one years playing experience.
