Siobhan Anderson Class

Wednesday 8 May. Tutor Siobhan Anderson will be teaching us in Strachur Memorial Hall 18.30-20.30

Siobhan Anderson grew up in Killin and attended school in Callander where she had fiddle / violin tuition from Jan Green, she also attended Ruaridh Campbell for extra lessons, went to Feis Rois etc.

After school Siobhan studied for a   BA in Applied Music at Strathclyde, graduating in 2011 with 1st class honours, also being awarded the Alexander Stone prize. She plays / has played with several groups, including French Wives, Whisky Kiss and Roddy Woomble. Siobhan performs and tours with singer songwriter Rachel Sermanni, and works for Feis Fhoirt in Stirling and Falkirk, as well as teaching at their Saturday morning classes. She was mentored by Jo Miller (one of the driving forces behind the setting up of the RSAMD Traditional Music Degree Course) who has helped Siobhan greatly with her teaching experience and opportunities. (I believe Siobhan has also taught at Riddel Fiddles, the workshop whose organiser has been mentored by Amy Geddes), Siobhan takes private lessons as well as tutoring workshops and classes, and is enthusiastic about teaching.
