Plockton Music School Concert

Lochgoilhead Fiddle Workshop is pleased to welcome the S6 students of Sgoil Chiùil Na Gàidhealtachd, The National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, as part of their annual Scottish tour.

The concert takes place at Strachur Memorial Hall on Thursday April 3^rd at 7:30 p.m.

Also known as Plockton Music School, the Centre provides specialist tuition and training for some of Scotland’s finest young traditional musicians. The 13 students will perform in a variety of combinations, from solos right up to a full 13-piece band, and their repertoire contains a great variety of vocal and instrumental material, from traditional and contemporary instrumentals to a selection of Gaelic and Scots songs covering heartache, humour and everything in between.

Also appearing will be some talented young local musicians, and there will be interval refreshments and a raffle.
