November Celebrations

We had a busy and successful workshop, concert and ceilidh in Strachur Memorial Hall on Saturday 3rd November. During the day, there were workshops in guitar with Matheu Watson, cello with Christine Hanson and two fiddle classes with Bruce MacGregor and Jamie Smith. Players ranged from 11 to over 65 and experience from improver to advanced. Everyone had a fulfilling day and left with the sound of the ‘Anniversary Tune’, composed for the workshop by Bruce MacGregor, and yet to be named!

The evening concert, followed by a ceilidh, was a great climax to the day and L.F.W. appreciated the contributions of the local young pipers, fiddlers and singer.
